We are a group of independent bicycle accident lawyers who specialize in bicycle crash cases and are dedicated to assisting cyclists. Our team of bike crash attorneys has dealt with numerous personal injury cases representing cyclists. We understand the distinction between a bicycle accident and a bicycle crash, and why this differentiation is important.
Our aim is to support and stand up for cyclists, not only as legal advocates but also as advocates for the cycling community. We are dedicated to seeking justice for cyclists and ensuring their rights are protected.
OUR MISSION
Bicycle crashes are not mere bike accidents. Lawyers in our Law Network have lots of experience with thousands of these cases. We understand the difference. We have helped victims of injuries. The injuries range from severe to catastrophic. They include traumatic brain injury (TBI), broken bones, organ damage, and other serious injuries.
Our Law is not a law firm. It’s a group of independent bicycle accident attorneys and law firms. They specialize in bicycle accidents and share a common approach to the law and helping cyclists. Additionally, we have a non-profit advocacy initiative called the Law Foundation.
Over the past fifteen years, we have refined our methods and processes through experience. We have dealt with various types of bicycle crashes and continuously strive to improve our approach. Lawyers in our Law Network collaborate and share their knowledge and expertise to better serve cyclists. As our network expands, each of us continues to learn and grow in our understanding of bicycle cases.
WHY A BICYCLE LAWYER IS DIFFERENT
Being cyclists, we see these cases differently. We know what cycling means, and how much of an earthquake it becomes when a car accident leads to serious injuries. What is more, we realize that such incidents may deprive one of the will or ability to ride a bike again. Therefore, our aim is not just to provide legal defense but also to become integrated into the cycling community as loyal supporters. In this regard, we promise to help our customers get compensation and resume cycling within the shortest time possible.
After we receive a case, we collaborate with the police to gather accurate information and determine if the driver of the motor vehicle was responsible. We will support you throughout the medical treatment process. We will handle medical bills and negotiate with insurance companies. If needed, we will start legal proceedings and go to court.
We offer free legal advice to cycling clubs and teams. It covers many topics, such as insurance, how to organize, advocacy, bike safety, and more. We frequently give presentations at bike club meetings and are willing to attend your club’s meeting as well.
OUR ATTORNEYS ARE ADVOCATES FOR ALL CYCLISTS
Lawyers in our Law network of bicycle attorneys are dedicated supporters of all cyclists. This includes commuters, racers, beginners, and experienced riders. It doesn’t matter why you ride a bicycle – whether it’s for enjoyment, transportation, or sport – we are here to advocate for your rights as a cyclist and ensure your safety.
Bicycle lawyers are here to keep you safe while you ride on the road. We take action against drivers who do dangerous things. These include texting while driving, speeding, drunk driving, running stop signs, and failing to yield. They also include opening car doors into bike lanes without caution. By holding these drivers accountable, we send a message to both other drivers and insurance companies. We are saying that we refuse to tolerate these actions any longer!
Drivers and cyclists should both be watchful, drive cautiously, follow traffic regulations, and have regard for each other on the road. We all pay taxes that fund the construction and maintenance of our roads therefore, such rules must be observed by either party for the safe and peaceful existence of all.
BICYCLE CRASH CASES
These are just a few examples of the many cases that independent bike lawyers in our Law Network have dealt with.
Case 1: A cyclist who had a lot of experience and was wearing bright clothing was out for a morning ride for fun. He used his hand to show that he wanted to turn and moved into the lane for turning. But a truck driver tried to go past the cyclist and caused a crash. Other drivers who were behind the truck driver said that they saw the cyclist’s signal very clearly. Passing in a turning lane is against the law, but the police officer wrote in their report that the cyclist had suddenly moved in front of the truck.
Case 2: On a sunny summer morning, a cyclist who was commuting by bike was tragically struck and fatally injured by the car behind them. Initially, the police assigned fault to the cyclist. However, our Law Firm stepped in and offered legal and technical support. Through collaboration with law enforcement, the crash report was revised to accurately reflect the true sequence of events: the driver was responsible for the accident.
Case 3: A man in his 70s was riding his bicycle, which was the last part of his personal trip around the entire edge of the United States. Out of nowhere, someone hit the cyclist from behind, causing very serious injuries that required a lengthy stay in the hospital. After a few years of recovering, he managed to finish his journey.
Case 4: A widely recognized cyclist was struck and harmed when a commercial van disregarded a stop sign and collided with them without slowing down. The van, which carried a work crew as passengers, was operated by an individual who did not possess a driver’s license. Both the driver and the passengers fled into the nearby woods before the arrival of the police.
